By accessing, browsing, or utilizing any of the web-based utilities, calculators, photo tools, or PDF engines provided by Pragati Tools ("the Platform", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the platform immediately.

2. Purpose of the Platform & Permitted Use

Pragati Tools provides client-side browser tools designed for practical document formatting, image cropping, PDF compression, smart card print preparation, and retail calculations. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these tools for:

• Legitimate document formatting, resizing, compression, and photo preparation.
• Commercial print preparation in cyber cafes, CSC centers, and digital service kiosks for lawful client services.
• Educational and personal document organization.

3. Document Ownership & Intellectual Property

Your Documents: You retain complete and exclusive ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights to all images, photographs, PDFs, and text data you process through our platform. Pragati Tools claims no ownership, license, or rights over your files.

Platform Intellectual Property: The user interface designs, custom CSS styling, layouts, branding, algorithms, and documentation on Pragati Tools are protected by applicable copyright laws. You may not scrape, clone, resell, or distribute the platform's proprietary code without express permission.

4. Prohibited Misuse & Unlawful Activities

Users are strictly prohibited from utilizing Pragati Tools utilities for:

• Creating, altering, or falsifying fraudulent identity cards, certificates, or legal records.
• Unauthorized forgery or alteration of official government records, signatures, or official seals.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, inject malicious scripts, or disrupt the operation of the web portal.
• Violating any local, state, national, or international laws concerning digital identity or cyber security.

You agree that you are solely responsible for ensuring you have lawful authorization to process, crop, edit, or print any document submitted into the tools.

5. Technical Limitations & Accuracy

While our tools are engineered for high precision, users should be aware of inherent technical constraints:

• PDF Compression: Our target-size compression uses client-side iterative approximations. Final file size may vary slightly depending on font structures and original image compressibility.
• OCR Accuracy: Optical Character Recognition results depend heavily on scan resolution, lighting, and language complexity. Users must manually verify extracted text before utilizing it for official submissions.
• Browser Memory: Large files (e.g. 50+ MB PDFs or hundreds of images) may be constrained by your device's available browser memory (RAM).

6. Third-Party Services & Server-Side Processing

AI-assisted features (such as OCR text recognition in Searchable PDF Maker and Drag & Drop PDF Maker) process data securely through serverless Cloudflare Worker endpoints. Pragati Tools strives to ensure reliable availability but is not responsible for temporary upstream provider interruptions, network latency, or service throttling imposed by external AI infrastructure.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The tools and services on Pragati Tools are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pragati Tools, its operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from:

• Loss of data, corrupted files, or inaccurate OCR text extraction.
• Application rejections from third-party recruitment or government portals due to file size or formatting non-compliance.
• Hardware failure, printer misalignments, or device browser crashes.

8. Modifications to Terms & Services

We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time. Significant revisions will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
